The following is a great cane dance clip. She makes twirling the cane look so simple, but it’s actually quite challenging and takes a lot of practice to master. The title of this video indicates that it’s from Brazil, so I’ll assume that’s true. Enjoy this video! I know I did!

Didem Doing Splits

This is Didem, a Turkish belly dancer – known all over the world. The opening of this performance is – wow. This woman doesn’t seem to have any bones. Didem sometimes gets a lot of negative feedback from belly dancers who don’t view her as a true belly dancer. You could call this a bit more aerobics than belly dance, but it’s pretty incredible to me regardless.
