Shirin began her belly dance training with Ansuya (Bellydance Superstars), and after Ansuya’s departure from Los Angeles, Shirin continued studying with Akasha and Joined Yaleil LA dance troupe. Shirin subsequently continued to dance and perform with Troupe Bahiya in Los Angeles, and most recently with Bloom and Anisas Oriental beledy dance troupe. Shirin’s commitment to the art form of Belly dance led her to search and train with many internationally renowned Belly dance performers and instructors, including Aisha Ali, Sahra Saeeda, Tamra-henna, Jillina, and Jenna. Currently, Shirin is focusing on advancing her career as a solo performer. |
| Belly Dance Classes | |
| Shirin teaches Egyptian and American Cabaret style belly dance. Beginner classes focus on basic hip movements, isolations, arms and shimmys. Intermediate classes learn veil, traveling steps, shimmy layering, zills (finger cymbals) and short choreography. Private lessons or specially-arranged group classes are also available by appointment. | |
