I am a Turkish born/raised belly dancer living in San Diego currently. I am an engineer by day, and belly dancer by night. I have mix Arabic and Turkish styles with blend of American Cabaret. My specialties are Turkish Orientale, Gypsy (Roman), Arabic styles including Egyptian and Lebanese. I am specialized in using props such as Saidi cane, Candle tray, sword, double veil, Isis Wings, fan veils. I am multiple awards from various competitions around the US and Hawaii. I am currently under training with Suhaila and Jamila Salimpour to pursue their teaching certifications. I am very dedicated to Suhaila Salimpour format and find it quite challenging, even harder than receiving my Master’s Diploma.I started dancing late in my life even though I grew up watching belly dancing and listening to Middle Eastern Music, but I now dedicate my life and time to improving and growing in this art. |
